A pirate theme table was named winner in the second annual Rotary Lobsterfest Theme Table Competition, held recently during the event at
Manitowoc
's
Washington
Park
.
The first-place trophy went to a group that built a pirate “ship" dubbed "It's Just a Prop." It was 10 feet wide and 22 feet long, with a 19-foot mast fully equipped with cannons, rotating steering wheel, skeletons and a life-sized Capt. Jack Sparrow. The "pirates" on board were Dale and Ellen Christel, Dave and Julie Augustine, Rick and Debbie Kohlbeck, Dave and Debbie Eis and Randall and Stephanie Binversie.
Second place went to the "S.S. Badger" entry. The group from Lakeshore CAP. included Christopher Parworth, Corrie Skubal, Anne Williams, Connie Mangin, Sharon VanDeraa, Chris Loose, Eileen Fictum, Tracy Klesper, Colleen Homy and Marilyn Wilfert.
Third place went to the Koenig & Vits entry, "Aluminum Makes Your Life Better." The participants included Elaine Bruckschen, Johanna Vance, Shannon Baumann, Mark Munson and Peter Wenninger.
